    Alert Carolina Informational Message: UNC Police has received multiple reports of individuals fraudulently identifying themselves as UNC Police officers and soliciting money from UNC parents. The caller states that the student has been arrested and then instructs the parents to pay bail through CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle. The caller has been spoofing a phone number and/or caller ID that makes the number they are calling from appear to be UNC Police.
