Crime Alert: UNC Police Investigating Simple Assault on Campus

UNC STUDENTS, STAFF, AND FACULTY:

UNC Police are investigating a report of simple assault that reportedly occurred near Kenan Stadium around 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.

The victim reports being whistled and yelled at by two unknown males. When she tried to leave the area, one male grabbed her arm to prevent her from leaving. The victim was able to get away and both suspects were last seen walking north towards Student Stores.

Suspect 1 is described as an African American male in his late teens, approximately 6`3″ tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark orange bandana on his head with shoulder length brown braids. He wore a grey short-sleeve shirt, a gold watch on right wrist, black Nike athletic pants with a Nike swoosh and slip on sandals.

Suspect 2 is described as an African American male around 19 to 20 years old with a slim but muscular build. He is close to 6 feet tall with short hair. He was wearing a blue Nike hat, a red t-shirt and black athletic style pants.
