At approximately 7pm today, Oct. 2, the Chapel Hill Police Department responded to calls of shots fired located off campus in the 100 Block of W. Franklin St.
The suspect has been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing. There are no reported injuries and there is no ongoing threat to the campus community.
Anyone with information should call 911 or UNC Police. The UNC Police Department is available 24 hours a day by calling 911 in an emergency or 919-962-8100 for non-emergency assistance. Officers are also available in person at the Public Safety Building located at 285 Manning Drive.
