At approximately 3:11 p.m., the 911 Dispatch received a call reporting a bomb threat involving Kenan Stadium.
UNC Police worked quickly with occupants of the stadium to alert them to the threat. Out of an abundance of caution, Kenan Stadium was evacuated while UNC Police and emergency responders initiated established safety protocols and conducted a thorough search of the area.
It has been determined that there is no credible threat.
Additional information will be shared as it becomes available. The safety of our campus community remains our highest priority.
