Due to adverse winter weather, the University is extending Condition 2 until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
We are in the midst of a significant winter weather event and currently have notably reduced operations at this time. We continue to urge students to stay home, stay prepared and stay safe. Streets and sidewalks are icy and dangerous for transportation. Staying home allows our first responders and facilities staff the space they need to safely respond as quickly as possible to emergencies and to clear our roads and sidewalks.
Additionally, to ensure emergency hospital access and allow for effective ice removal, the University has restricted personal vehicular traffic on campus. More information about this can be found on the Winter Weather: January 2026 webpage.
If a change in conditions extended beyond 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, it will be communicated via Alert Carolina no later than 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
