Due to the winter weather, the University is extending Condition 2 until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20.
If a change in conditions is extended beyond 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, it will be communicated via Alert Carolina no later than 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Your safety is our number one consideration. As a rule, students, faculty and staff must use their own best judgment about whether they can travel safely to and from campus. Please review the information and resources below to help you understand how a Condition 2 may impact you:
Students and Faculty
- Classes are cancelled.
Staff
- Non-Mandatory Employees must not report to work and must leave campus. You must use available personal leave time for work missed except for certain scenarios, which are explained on the Adverse Weather & Emergency Closing webpage.
- Non-Mandatory Employees may be permitted to work from home or alternate sites when it is feasible and safe only with supervisor approval. Employees working away from campus do not use leave.
- Mandatory Employees are expected to report to work or remain on the job, unless otherwise directed by supervisors.
