ATTENTION UNC STUDENTS, STAFF, AND FACULTY:
The Town of Chapel Hill Police are investigating a reported assault on a female UNC Student on Pritchard Avenue on Friday, Oct. 9 at 2:40 a.m.. The victim was walking home when she was grabbed from behind and forced to the ground. The suspect fled as the victim fought back. The victim was unharmed in the incident and did not report seeing any weapons.
The suspect is described as a young black male (early 20’s), approximately 5-9 in height, with a slim build. His hair was close-cut (short), and he was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
If anyone has information about this crime, please call either Investigator D. Hunter at the Chapel Hill Police Department at 968-2760 or CrimeStoppers at 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to arrest.
